Please Don’t Waste Your Transition Crisis!
What would you say is the best gift a Transitional Pastor can give a congregation? Most traditional interim training programs land heavily on the idea that the primary task of a church in transition is dealing with grief. Thus, much of the work of a traditional...
Leadership as Learning to Let Go
I have a love affair with books. I started dating books when I saw Dick and Jane run after Spot in first grade. I nurtured the relationship in third grade when The Scholastic Book Club let me...
Four Lies of the Church Today
I love the church and I have given my life serving within it and developing leaders for it. I have seen lives changed, relationships renewed, and communities revitalized because of the work...
Resources for
Imagination
Church leaders require imaginative solutions to real world leadership problems. The gospel is powerful and effective, but the church speaks into a culture of shifting values, technologies, and world views. Imaginative solutions for the church reimagine gospel truths for a new millennium.

Impact
Church leaders grow in skills and understanding for their roles. Participating in practical and missional training opportunities, developing new skills for key pastoral roles, and engaging new opportunities to expand one’s leadership portfolio improves impact for ministry.
Exploring the Future – Vision Trips
With our extensive contacts throughout Central America, Africa, and rural and urban America we can design an experience to help you envision future ministry opportunities for yourself or your church. We create opportunities for individual pastors, groups of pastors, or pastors and lay leaders. Intentional exploratory trips help feed the imagination as pastors explore areas of personal and congregational growth while equipping and supporting other ministries.
Transformation and Learning
We offer webinars, in-person conferences, and retreats creating opportunities to encourage imagination and develop new skills for leadership. We provide access to major authors and thought leaders as we explore current trends in church leadership, pastoral care, and church administration. Future events will provide training for transition pastors, stewardship and church finance, pastoral counseling skills, and crisis responses in ministry.
Teaching Pastors in Honduras Opportunities
Since 2015 the Moench Center for Church Leadership has supported a Certificate in Pastoral Leadership in Honduras in partnership with Luke 9:2 Ministries. This three year program offers quarterly classes training local pastors who are seeking to gain theological training and spiritual foundations. Opportunities exist to teach in this program during three day seminars, with translators, outside Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
